EK Marine Ltd provide a valued service to the aquaculture industries around the coast of Ireland, Scotland and as far away as Bulgaria. We work with multi national companies as well as individuals setting up new ventures in this ever expanding and innovative industry.

Services we have provided include manufacturing fish pens, net washers and work pontoons, maintaining service vessels and the manufacture and installation of specialist deck equipment.

Hydraulics

We have designed and installed hydraulic systems for new build aquaculture vessels, work pontoons and barges.

System have been carried out at shipyards in Ireland, the UK and the USA.
System and component maintenance, repair and replacement can be carried out as according to planned schedules or as emergency call out repairs in either the vessels home port, or an opportune harbour.

Our systems are typically load sensing and allow equipment to be operated from wheelhouses, locally or by remote control.

We build and install both diesel and hydraulic powerpacks that can be mounted below decks in machinery / engine rooms or above deck in sound and weather proofed housings.

Winches and Capstans

Engineering and Fabrication

The following specialist services provided by the EKM Engineering division are available to our clients in the aquaculture industry.

Precision engineering utilising our large capacity lathes and boring machines
Profile cutting of large sheet metal components by our 6 head CNC gas torch profile cutter with 6.0m x 13m bed.
Fabrication in mild, stainless steel and aluminium using MIG, TIG and ARC welding by our team of coded welders
Grit blasting, metalizing and application of epoxy marine coatings to fabricated structures, manufactured and refurbished equipment and machinery.
Refurbishment of hydraulic deck machinery and equipment.
Rebuilding and refurbishment of pumps, gearboxes and motors.
