• Precision engineering utilising our large capacity lathes and boring machines
• Profile cutting of large sheet metal components by our 6 head CNC gas torch profile cutter with 6.0m x 13m bed.
• Fabrication in mild, stainless steel and aluminium using MIG, TIG and ARC welding by our team of coded welders
• Grit blasting, metalizing and application of epoxy marine coatings to fabricated structures, manufactured and refurbished equipment and machinery.
• Refurbishment of hydraulic deck machinery and equipment.
  Rebuilding and refurbishment of pumps, gearboxes and motors.

Products that can be spooled under tension for the offshore wind, wave and tidal industries include towing, mooring and lifting winch wires, synthetic ropes and subsea umbilical’s.

Spooling and tensioning is carried out quayside onto work and supply vessels or jack up rigs alternatively it can be carried out on the decks of larger production/ installation vessels or in plant yards.

Equipment supplied is dependent on the size and quantity of the product and the tension required, our capstan pedestal spooling machines can accommodate manufacturer’s reels and provide tensioning up to 50 tons.

EKM Crane Hire provides contract and port and cargo lifting services throughout the North and West of Ireland, this service coupled with our own fleet of trucks, those of our service partners together with extensive areas of secure hard standing in Killybegs means that we can provide a full crane hire and logistics service to wind turbine and ocean energy companies operating in Ireland.
